What are we working on now?
December 2011
We have had an appeal from a Wellington Plunket group. Over half the families in their area fall below the poverty line and need all the help they can get. Plunket are putting together 20 care packages including essential stuff for under 5's. We all know how much money you can save by using cloth nappies, but many of these families simply can't afford the initial outlay.
If you have nappies and covers that your babies have outgrown, please think about donating them to families that really need them this Christmas. Just email me at info@ecobots.co.nz if you can help.
Thank you.
August - September 2011
Having recently purchased ecobots, I am still getting to know our suppliers. This month we have invited our nappy supplier to visit from Pakistan and asked for more corporate information from our US supplier of covers - I look forward to being able to share that information with you as it comes in.
We are also looking at going "cradle to cradle", this means taking responsibility for our products from the beginning to the end of their life-cycle. That's why we are learning more about their manufacturers and looking at ways to reuse them when they can no longer fulfill their intended purpose. Click here to find out more about this concept.
We would like to help you pass on your nappies and covers when they are no longer useful to you by placing an ad on our website - a community noticeboard of sorts. Please let us know if you would be keen to do this and we'll focus on getting it up and running. Also, you can donate ecobots products to families who can't afford to buy them new. Just send them to us for rehousing.
Happy Spring!
